This ‘Let’s get real’ campaign was created from the 2021 National Student Advertising Competition. Challenge: Create Brand Love for Tinder Targeting Gen Z Concept: 1. Animation Style: Merging live footage with animation illustrates that dreaminess and wanderlust of meet-cute moments are most certainly possible IRL and, most importantly, in their lives. 2. Music: It is vital to meet Gen Z where they’re at - which is still believing their meet-cute moments will mirror early 2000’s rom coms. Therefore, the music choices needed to embody a sense of nostalgia and clear connection to the simplicity of the past they’re longing for. 3. Colors: To continue building brand love, the Really campaign magnifies Tinder’s existing brand colors to help create a stronger brand identity in the minds of 18-19 years olds.
